Subject :    Guidelines related to journey by air on LTC/tour-clarification

                  regarding

    It has come to the notice of the undersigned that while allowing journey on tour/LTC by air, full are charged by various airlines have been allowed, instead of the cheapest economy fare available on a particulate date.

2.    In this regard, Govt. of India, Ministry of finance, Deptt. of Expenditure has issued certain guidelines vide their O.M. No. 7(1)/E.Coord./2008 dated 4.12.2008 which is available on the website www.minfin.nic.in.  A copy of the same is being forwarded for guidance & strict compliance.

3.    Further, the journey on tour by air by the entitled officer should be performed by buying the Cheapest fare in economy/Business class by getting information through the internet as clarified by the Ministry of Finance in its O.M. No. 7(1)/E.Coord./2008 dated 1.10.2008.

4.    As per Govt. of India's order '7-A' below SR-46, payment of road mileage allowance/bus fare etc. is admissible for journey performed between Bus stand/Airport/Railway Station etc. by the shortest route.
