TENDER NOTICE

 

                        Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office, Chandigarh on behalf of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti intends to purchase approximately fifty automatic chapatti making machines & flour kneading machines for JNVs located in the State of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh(UT).

 

                        Interested manufacturers may obtain tender documents from this office on payment of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) non-refundable through Cash/Bank Draft on any working day between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm from 08.03.08 to 25.03.2008. Tender forms can also be downloaded from the website "www.navodaya.nic.in" & "www.nvsrochd.gov.in".  The downloaded tender document can be submitted alongwith Demand Draft of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only)  in favour of Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh.

 

The last date for receipt of sealed tenders in this office will be 26.03.2008 upto 4:00 pm at the above mentioned address. The tenders will be opened on 27.03.2008 in this office at 11:00 am in the presence of interested bidders.

ANNEXURE-A

 

Imp: THIS ANNEXURE IS TO BE ATTACHED WITH TENDER FORM IN ORIGINAL WHILE SUBMITTING THE TENDER FORM ALONGWITH THE SAMPLES OF THE ITEMS TO BE SUPPLIED.

         

Terms and Conditions

1)                  The Tender validity period shall be upto 31.03.2009 from the date of agreement.

2)                  The earnest money to the tune of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only) is to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft in favour Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh, which will be adjusted against security deposit in the event of acceptance of tender.

3)                  On acceptance of the tender, it will become a contract and the contractor shall be bound by the terms and conditions of the tender/supply order.

4)                  The successful tenderer will have to deposit 20%  (10% by way of the Bank Draft and 10% by way of Bank Guarantee) of total value of supply towards security deposit.

5)                  The 90% payment will be made on successful installation and running of machine the remaining 10% after three months from the first running.

6)                  If terms and conditions in the purchase order /Contract are different with the terms and conditions outlined herein it should be clearly understood that those mentioned in the purchase order/contract shall govern the contract. In the event of any ambiguity or discrepancy, interpretation of the purchase order/contract shall be final.

7)                  The machine supplied/installed by the successful tenderer will be inspected by a committee.  In case the supply does not confirm to the specifications and terms and conditions of the supply order/contract, the same is liable to be rejected and the supplier will take the material back at his own cost and risk.

8)                  In case of any dispute or difference of opinion etc. that may arise, the decision will be made by an Arbitrator appointed by Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Arbitrator will sit at Chandigarh.

9)                  Court of jurisdiction will be Chandigarh.

10)              There should not be any over writing or corrections in the tenders. If a figure is to be amended, it should be neatly scored off. The revised figure shall be written above and same shall be attested with full signatures and date. In the absence of the attested signatures, the tender is liable to be rejected.

11)              THE EARNEST MONEY & 10% SECRUITY DEPOSIT SHOULD BE IN THE SHAPE OF DEMAND DRAFT ONLY DRAWN IN FAVOUR OF DEPUTY COMMISSIONER, NVS,CHANDIGARH PAYABLE AT CHANDIGARH.  THE EARNEST MONEY  & SECRUITY DEPOSIT SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN CASH OR IN ANY OTHER FORM. REMAINING 10% SECURITY DEPOSIT BY WAY OF BANK GUARANTEE.

12)            Rates quoted by the manufacturer  shall be valid upto 31.03.2009.

13)            Tentatively  50 (Fifty) number of machines are required.

14)              The quantity of items may increase or decrease at the discretion of the Samiti without assigning any reason.

15)            The machinery is to supplied for JNVs in the State of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

16)              Rates quoted will be FOR destination.

17)              Tenders which do not comply with any conditions are liable to be rejected.

18)              The Samiti reserves the right to cancel any tender without assigning any reason.

19)            Firms must specify the guarantee clause and service after sales in their Bid.

20)              There will be penalty Clause like forfeiture of Earnest Money plus Security deposit in the absence of non fulfilling the terms and conditions of the tender and subsequently the supply order for any reason what so ever.

21)            The technical bid and financial bid is to be submitted separately in different sealed envelops clearly indicating “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid”. 

22)            The technical bid will be opened first. However, the financial bid will be opened only in respect of those tenderers whose technical bids are short listed by the committee.

23)            The Samiti shall not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any other bid, and reserves the right to itself, to reject any or all of the bids received, without assigning any reason.
